个人简介

Dr. Oluwarotimi Williams SAMUEL is currently an Associate Professor with the Center for Neural Engineering, Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He obtained a Ph.D. degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing courtesy of the CAS-TWAS President’s Fellowship award. As principal investigator, he did receive several scientific research funding awards including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Outstanding Youth Innovation Research Fund of SIAT-CAS, Foundation for the Support of Science and Technology, and others as co-investigator. He received the 2020 Merit award of SIAT-CAS, 2019 IEEE Outstanding Young Investigator Research Visit award to Sapienza University, 2019 CAS President's International Fellowship Initiative award, Best Academic Paper awards (IEEE-ICCC’2019, IEEE-ICBHI’2015, & GHI’2015), 2018 Outstanding Young Researcher, Distinguished Ph.D. Dissertation, Outstanding Graduate Student, Excellent Foreign Student, and Excellent International Graduate awards among others. His research interest includes: Human-computer interaction, Rehabilitation robotics, Biomedical signal processing, Health informatics, and Applied machine intelligence, Predictive analytics. He is the author/co-author of more than 100 articles in published in reputable journals and conference proceedings with over 1500 citations (h-Index: 21 and i10-index: 31) on Google Scholar. He is a member of the organizing committee of international conferences including the 2018 IEEE-CBS, 2020 IEEE MetroInd4.0&IoT, and 2021 IEEE MetroInd4.0&IoT, 1st African Symposium & 4th TYAN Workshop, as well as the 2nd African Symposium & 6th TYAN Workshop on Big Data, Analytics and Machine intelligence. He is also a professional member of IEEE & ACM, an editorial board member of the Frontiers in NeuroRobotics Journal, and a reviewer for IEEE-(TBME, TNRST, TII, JBHI, and), AIIM-Elsevier, BSPC-Elsevier, CAEE-Elsevier, and other peer-review international journals.
